Where does that leave us?Group A (v7,10) Is this you?Persevere in doing good, seek for glory, honour and immortality.The Reward is: Eternal life, glory, honour and peace.Group B (v5, 8-9) Is this you?Have a stubborn or unrepentant  heart, are self-seeking, reject the truth, obey unrighteousness.The Reward is: Wrath, judgement, indignation, tribulation, distressa. Ken Harding 1/03/09 Roman 1:18-32 Last week we considered Paul's reason for writing to the Church of Rome. This was all to do with the good news which we call THE GOSPEL. Paul was not ashamed of this gospel because it had changed him from being a self centred, bigoted, Christ-hating Jew into a Christian who loved the Lord and was passionate about the GOSPEL message which he once tried to destroy. We also asked the question "What is this Gospel"? and saw that it was God's power for the salvation of all who believed in Jesus. It is the method God uses 'God's master plan' to save us from sin and give us the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ. God's righteous anger or wrath against all sin. (Romans 1:18-32) - It's against all sin, godlessness, and wickedness. (v18) - Those who suppress the truth by their wickedness. (v18) - God makes some things plain to us through creation. (v19-20) - Men are without excuse. (v20) - They knew God but ....(v21-22) - They neither glorified Him as God... - Nor gave th

Ken Harding 4/01/09 Ken suggests FOUR areas of the "Eternal" on which to focus in order to gain a secure perspective for the coming year (2009). 1. The Foundation of our Faith. Jesus Christ the Rock - 1 Cor 3:11 2. The Assurance of our Faith. The Bible, God's Word - 2 Tim 3:15 3. The Reliance of our Faith. The Promises of God - 2 Peter 1:4,1. 1 Peter 1:3-5. 1 Peter 5:7. Hebrews 13:5-6. John 14:1-3, v16, v27. Isaiah 26. Psalm 55:22. 4. The Fellowship of our Faith. Daily comfort and strength from His Holy Spirit - John 14:23-27. Romans 8:16, 28, 35-39. 2 Cor 1:3-4. Rom 5:5. So in times like these in 2009 you need an "anchor of the soul, firm and secure", read Hebrews 6:19 in order to get through the year with peace and hope.
