What is the church? Many people today understand the church as a building. This is not a biblical understanding of the church. The word “church” is a translation of the Greek word ekklesia, which is defined as “an assembly” or “called-out ones.”

The Mahowan's are joining us from Faith Village in Thailand. Faith Village is an orphanage, church and fifty-acre farm in Thailand, established by Pastors David and Paula Mahawon in 1993, where they care for orphaned and abandoned children.

Jesus said, “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you” (Matthew 7:1–2).

Jesus entered into a boat that he might be the less pressed, and be the better heard by the people. By this he teaches us in the outward circumstances of worship not to covet that which is stately, but to make the best of the conveniences.
