Did you know that light is not just light - it is made up of the full spectrum of color? So then Jesus, the light of the world, doesn't just illuminate our darkness: he colors our world with His glory!

When we spend time drawing close to God and telling Him how great He is, He will return the favor. Then, when we hear that voice of God, it becomes our job to declare what He says is true, whether it's for us or another!

There are many examples in the Bible where someone built an altar to God - not because they'd been told to, but because they wanted to. Let's do the same in our own lives, and let's please our heavenly Father.

God sees it when we give, and He loves it. He loves it when we get out of ourselves and focus on another. And so, as we give, it draws Him nearer to us.

When cats receive affection it normally ends with them biting or scratching the hand that is giving it to them. God says repeatedly in His Word that He prefers obedience to sacrifices. So let's attract the Spirit with our obedience.

God is up to something great, and we don't want to miss it. So let's attract the Holy Spirit through our worship. Through our faith. And through giving Him glory.

It's so easy to see only the darkness, and to anticipate that if there's been dark then we will have more of it. But it's time to be strengthened by hope. It's time to see the world through a new lens, and believe for a new day.

The world's version of peace is a lie. But in Judges we're told that "The Lord is Peace." Maybe what we need isn't just another strategy: maybe we need to become better acquainted with this God who is peace.

The old saying goes that "when the blind lead the blind they all fall in the ditch." But what happens when we allow our lives to be led by God?

What would happen if the Church stood together in unity? What if we stood united with our own church? What would we look like, and how could we change the world?

A Christian is killed every five minutes in the world, but we continue on in our padded American lives as if nothing is wrong. It's time to shake things up. It's time to change the world. It's time to pray.

Only 10% of people in Washington go to church. But we shouldn't just be going to church - we should be the church.

Just being a part of the Christian church has become a counterculture statement, especially in the Pacific Northwest. But let's take it even further.
