There is a problem which affects all of us. The consequences of this problem are perilous. Yet God has the remedy. But the problem is that the problem besetting us all causes us to reject God and His offer. God goes to extraordinary lengths to reach out to people with this remedy and frequently uses artists, story-tellers, and captivating preachers to creatively and winsomely present it.

Despite the Jews rejecting the Prophet Jeremiah's message for decades, when it eventually proved true and disaster did indeed befall them, God still offered them conditional mercy. Would they accept it?

Jerusalem had been destroyed, just as Jeremiah the Prophet had foretold. Those who remained in Jerusalem asked Jeremiah to give them the word of the Lord. He told them that the Lord was telling them to remain in Jerusalem where He would preserve and bless them. Despite their assurances to Jeremiah that they would obey the Lord, they didn't! This passage in Jeremiah has some powerful lessons for those serious about God and His Word, and how to deliver it.

Daniel is shown the rise and fall of nations and world empires. But it is then revealed to him that this will will ultimately take place after he has entered into his rest.

Toward the end of Daniel's life his attention is turned by GOD to the destiny of his people and the coming of the Messiah. He foresees how world events and empires would culminate in the appearing of the Messiah to bring atonement for the sins of humanity, and the ultimate vanquishing of death and evil.

Daniel had been taken captive from Jerusalem to Babylon because his ancestors had behaved terribly. Rather than becoming bitter, Daniel stepped up and took responsibility for his ancestors' grievous sins. There are several key lessons to be learned from this dramatic episode of Daniel's life.

Daniel was taken away from his family, his home, his nation, his friends, and relocated to a land completely unfamiliar to him. Despite the obstacles he faced, he managed to flourish. In his senior years he began to have visions of the future and the coming Messiah.

In Daniel Chapter 6 we read one of the most dramatic stories in all of the Bible - Daniel in the lions' den. Held captive in Babylon, Daniel had determined to honour God and this commitment cost him dearly. Yet, God honoured his commitment and delivered him from a certain and untimely gruesome death. You will see some valuable spiritual and life lessons in this presentation.

One of the most dramatic episodes of the entire Bible is found in Daniel chapter 4. Daniel was a young man when taken prisoner by the Babylonians and exiled from Israel to Babylon to be castrated and put into the service of the Emperor.

What is the Biblically appropriate role for women within the church today? On the one hand we have those who point out the clear instructions of Scripture that women are to be silent in church and that they are not permitted to exercise authority over a man. On the other hand we have those who point out that the New Testament makes ministry a gifting made available to both men and women.

Daniel, the diplomat prophet, was forcibly taken from his homeland of Israel as a boy and put into the service of the King of Babylon around 586BC. In standing up for his unflinching faith in God, he was thrown into the lion's den where it was expected that he would be torn apart. But what actually happened revealed what he truly believed and who he truly was!

King Nebuchadnezzar had asked for the most difficult proof for God that anyone had ever asked. And it was Daniel who convincingly supplied it.

Imagine your homeland being invaded and the invaders take you as a young man away from parents, friends, and familiar surroundings, to a strange foreign land and culture in which they require of you things that your conscience can not allow. This was Daniel's lot. How he handled this predicament is now a case study in resilience.
