Sinopsis
I pastor Legana Christian Church in Tasmania, Australia. I do a weekly morning radio program called Life Matters where we deal with some of the difficult issues we all face in life, and discuss how might tackle them. I also produce another radio program called Finding Truth Matters where I take the ancient truth of God's Word, explain it, and show how it is relevant for today. I spend a fair bit time helping couples prepare for their marriages and have been doing so now for nearly 30 years. Lately, I've been producing some 1 minute audios for radio stations where I try to take a complex problem or idea and simplify it and offer a different perspective for people to consider. I blog. I write eBooks on some of these topics as well.

What Does It Mean To Be a True Man? (Radio Edition)
03/10/2021 Duración: 30minThere is a crisis manhood. Young boys are growing up in a culture that is inevitably confusing. On the one hand they are being told that gender is merely a social construct, and on the other hand their natural inclinations are being manipulated by the pedlars of pornography which presents a distorted view of femininity all in the name of women's liberation. Little wonder then that our culture is bereft of a clear vision of what it means to be a man. Dr. Corbett presents a biblical vision of true manhood by considering the preeminent example of Jesus the Christ.

Dear Timothy, Part 10 - Fight, Work, Preach
30/08/2021 Duración: 43minPaul had a fatherly love for Timothy whom he considered to be his son. These were his last letters he wrote to him before he was executed. To download the Bible Study series, Dear Timothy, go to - https://www.andrewcorbett.net/bible-studies-for-small-groups/Dear-Timothy/ The title of these small group Bible studies, ‘Dear Timothy’, is meant to convey an immediate warmth of relationship that the Apostle Paul had over several decades with his young protégé whom he considered to be his son. Some people have the perception that Paul was a cold-hearted man - but cold-hearted people are rarely characterised by long-term relationships. The fact that Timothy was just one of the many long-term friendships that Paul had with various men and women should tell us something important about the man who wrote to Timothy. Paul’s concern for his young lieutenant also involved his concern for the Ephesians. The issues that he addresses to Timothy were really the issues that the church at Ephesus were grappling with. Dear Timothy, Part 1, Premium edition
28/06/2021 Duración: 34minThe apostle Paul is often considered to be a rather cold-hearted man. On the occasions when I have asked different women if they would have appreciated being pastored by him, it has been met with a resounding “No!” I suspect this is because Paul is similarly perceived as a male-chauvinist due to his various comments about women needing to be quiet in church and not permitted to teach a man. If this is your opinion of Paul, it is my hope that you might come to soften your view of him after completing this study of what are his final surviving epistles before he was executed at the command of Caesar Nero in AD 64. In addition to this negative opinion about the apostle Paul there are those who see him as a bigot and fundamentalist who has no place in shaping the Christianity of the current times. It is my hope that I can demonstrate that what Paul wrote in these epistles was indeed inspired by the Holy Spirit to a person and audience around AD 62 but still has divinely ordained relevance to our times. In fact,

Within the household, good conduct was encouraged through the bestowing of honour, and bad conduct was discouraged through shame. How does shame work in today's culture — especially in the Church?

One ancient scholar wrote that the strength of the empire was build on the strength of the 'Household'.
