We live in a culture that doesn't celebrate taking a day of rest. Not REAL rest, anyway. Not the kind that God had in mind when he gave Moses the 10 Commandments. The Hebrews took this idea of rest very seriously, they called it "Sabbath." But what about you and I? What are we supposed to do about taking time to rest? How? When? How long? Listen and enjoy! Description: Jesus took the time to get to the people that he ministered to. This is especially true during his conversation with The Woman At The Well. Here's a challenge for us - how much are we willing to get to know others? Is it possible that we need to break a few "rules" in order to do so.

 Hear Student Ministry Director, Jonny March, talk about the incredible idea of becoming sons and daughters to God through the acts of adoption.   For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”   

This message given as part of an ongoing series in the book of Galatians. 

In a sea of spiritual voices how do we determine which are the best to listen to? Just like the Galatians, we have a daily choice to try and filter out those voices which are contrary to the pure and simple gospel of Christ, from those that are congruent to it's plain truth. In this message we ask two questions, "What is the result of listening to the wrong voices?" and "How do I determine the correct ones." I hope this message is an encouragement to you!

Paul asks a tough question to the church he founded in Galatia. To the once joyful believers he says, "Where is your joy?" The answer is simple; it disappeared the moment they began to entertain ideas of legalism and the influence of the first century Judiazers. What an exciting day for LifePoint Christian Church. After a long journey to find a permanent home for the church family we celebrated our first service in a new building. There's no way to grow spiritually without serving faithfully. We know that Jesus Christ was the ultimate model of servanthood so if we want to be more like him (spirtual growth) then we need to do the kind of things he did. With a new building it's more important than ever to serve each other and to serve our community.

It's an exciting time to be a part of the LifePoint family. This last week we closed on our new campus and we plan to be in the building for our first service on March 24th. That being said, I think it's important to not only take a moment to thank God for His blessings, but also make sure we understand who we are and what the building means. In the Bible Jesus encountered many people who were stuck. Some were stuck in tradition, others in sickness, and many in sin. Each experience with Christ resulted in a radical change of life and the story of the man at the pool of Bethesda is no exception. How might we be "stuck" today? While it seems like the Apostle Paul has said just about everything he could say on the topic of grace vs. the law, he doubles back at the beginning of chapter 3 and tries a new tact. His goal is to convince the Galatians that even proper Jewish theology is centered around belief and not the law. This is a superb reminder to modern-day Christians - that our faith in God is credited to us as "righteousness" and not our ability to follow the "rules" of Old Testament law.

Based on our passage of scripture this morning I believe that each of us must take time to answer three very important questions. 1. Who Am I Living For? 2. Who Lives In Me? 3. How Should I Live. Paul gives us the answer to these question in Galatians 2:19-21. While the answers might seem obvious the path to get there takes great faith and understanding.
