11-03-24 2 Chronicles 36:11-16 What Is Our Problem? Intro: The Book of 2 Chronicles was likely written between 450 and 425 B.C. The Books of 1 & 2 Chronicles cover mostly the same information as 1 & 2 Samuel and 1 & 2 Kings. The Books of 1 & 2 Chronicles focus more on the priestly aspect of the time period. The Book of 2 Chronicles is essentially an evaluation of the nation’s religious history. The Book of 2 Chronicles records the history of the Southern Kingdom of Judah, from the reign of Solomon to the conclusion of the Babylonian exile. The decline of Judah is disappointing, but emphasis is given to the spiritual reformers who zealously seek to turn the people back to God. Little is said about the bad kings or of the failures of good kings; only goodness is stressed. Since 2 Chronicles takes a priestly perspective, the Northern Kingdom of Israel is rarely mentioned because of her false worship and refusal to acknowledge the Temple of Jerusalem. 10/27/2024 1 Peter 2: 7-10 God’s Chosen People Intro: God chose a people to declare Himself to the world and through that people a Savior for the world and through His church the gospel for the world! What if Satan had destroyed the seed of the woman referred to in Genesis 3:15? But God provided an escape by the flood and by the grace given to Israel leading to the grace of Jesus Christ! 10/20/2024 Nehemiah 2:1-8 Nehemiah’s Wall Intro: Ezra and Nehemiah were contemporaries, and they both wrote about the rebuilding of Jerusalem, which occurred approximately seventy years after it was destroyed by the Babylonians under Nebuchadnezzar. Ezra wrote about the rebuilding of the temple under Zerubbabel, while Nehemiah wrote concerning the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s walls. From ancient times, the cities located in the Middle East were surrounded by stone walls with gates that were guarded for the protection of the citizens. The important men of each city would gather at the gate where they would conduct the business of the city, share important information, or just pass the time. 10/5/2024 Joel 1:15-20 Intro: The Book of Joel was likely written between 835 and 800 B.C. Judah, the setting for the book, is devastated by a vast horde of locusts. This invasion of locusts destroys everything—the fields of grain, the vineyards, the gardens and the trees. Joel symbolically describes the locusts as a marching human army and views all of this as divine judgment coming against the nation for her sins. The book is highlighted by two major events. One is the invasion of locusts and the other the outpouring of the Spirit. The initial fulfillment of this is quoted by Peter in Acts 2 as having taken place at Pentecost. The overriding theme of the Book of Joel is the Day of the Lord, a day of God’s wrath and judgment. This is the Day in which God reveals His attributes of wrath, power, and holiness, and it is a terrifying day to His enemies. In 2009 I could be wrong on that date but the president used Exodus 23:9 to justify open borders Exodus 23:9 Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. David Platt of the SBC believes that God has sent all these illegal aliens to us to evangelize them. We should share the gospel with everyone. But they are here illegally and are criminals. 9/22/2024 1 Timothy 3:1-7 The Requirements Of A Biblical Pastor Intro: Churches today are weak and spineless and unable to stand up to the wicked culture we have today because of weakness in the pulpits. Many say pastors have tough jobs. But they make it harder because they won’t stick to preaching the Bible. I think it’s easy….all you have to do is preach the word of God…stick to the word of God…..and love the word of God…..Most pastors today love the power, the money, and then it turns to pride and greed. In the OT there were False Prophets….. so in the church age there will be false teachers. They will preach unholy heresies and even deny and blaspheme the Lord Jesus Christ! They are heaping upon themselves destruction. So you better make sure you are not a false teacher! That is teaching against Christ and the only way of salvation found by faith and trust in Jesus Christ in His FINISHED work on the cross for me and you!

We can have faith in a human leader or a government. What good will that do you? You can have faith in a system or a government. But what good will that do you? 8/18/2024 2 Thessalonians 2:14-17 Remember Our Hope is Greater Than Their Best Plans Intro: Bill Gates of Hell and his buddies are preparing for the next big virus crisis. Bill Gates of hell and his friends was recently at a summit in Rio De Janeiro where a meeting was held about the Monkey Pox and the Bird Flu By the Coalition of Epidemic preparedness innovation. CEPI. They discussed preparations for the next vaccine to be administered 100 days after the outbreak. The Bird flu summit is coming up in Washington DC as they are preparing for a MASS casualty event. They plan greater surveillance and greater enforcement this time. This is only TWO things that they will try in the next couple of years. The good news is that no matter what they try to do to us and against us….we are safe in the arms of Jesus!
