Sometimes we say we have to put off the old for the new. And sometimes we say the good old days. Were they really that good? In some ways for us maybe were yearn for that innocence and that time when we had good health and our whole lives were ahead of us. I am telling that the good old days maybe better than today but nothing will compare to what we have now in Christ and where we are headed in Christ. The Old versus the new.

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. We’ve all heard that phrase meant to inspire us to be good people. It hasn’t worked!! The only way to be good is to repent of our sins and trust in Jesus Christ and have His goodness applied to our lives! Peter and the apostles are witnesses to the life of the Lord Jesus on this earth. They saw Jesus, they heard Jesus and they spoke about Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are all afraid of the future. For us, our children, grandchildren, friends, our churches, our businesses, and our freedom. Where is this all going to end? Well we know that History is coming to the return of Jesus Christ! Are we going to be on His side? Or on the side of the enemy. Are we going to be strong finishers for Christ or limp to the finish line?

We know that the Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 17 and Luke 21 all mention last days prophecies by Jesus. The Olivet discourse as it is called. The rapture is alluded to in John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. But we know that the rapture is for the church only. Jesus was dealing with the Jews and their future for the most part. But we do have four verses that allude to it with Jesus warning to be ready for the Lord will come when you think not. Remember that the day of the Lord….the rapture, tribulation, and millennium will begin with the rapture of the church. But we forget about John 5 and one little verse. We will show that marvelous passage today.

Remember when you got in trouble as a child? That means you did something wrong. You were mean and got caught. I’m not talking about troubles that come to no fault of our own but I’m talking about getting into meaness. Trouble. Wait til your father gets home. Well my mother didn’t wait she took care of the problem herself. Children at school would get in trouble and go to the principles office. Adults get in trouble with the law. Adults get in trouble at work or with their neighbors and get in trouble with their families. Job 14:1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble. We are in trouble with God. We were born in trouble. But can get out of trouble with God.

Back in the days of bloody Mary Queen of Scots there was great persecution of the church in England. Many died for their faith by burning at the stake. There stories are told in Foxes book of Martyrs. Incredible stories of faith and courage when faced with the decision of will you turn from your faith or burn at the cross? Today I’m afraid we are going to face the same type of decisions. Will you turn from your faith to keep your insurance? To keep your income? To keep your electricity? To keep your freedom to travel? I believe it’s coming if the Lord tarries. Turn or Burn

With a new administration and leadership come hope for a better day in our nation. But sadly I don’t see anything that gives us a future worth hoping for on this earth. It will be liveable I believe for the Bible tells that It will be like the days of Noah people buying and selling and still getting married and starting families so there will still be some type of normalcy enve though I don’t believe things will ever be the same in the world people will still live their lives and become so involved in them that they won’t be aware that the Lord is coming. Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. This following is the future of the world according to Isaiah. This time in history is the tribulation of the church described in great detail in Revelation chapters 6-18. This is Isaiah’s take on it as he was inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Everyone wants to have a great life. How many of us start out well but thinks just never seem to work out. Some people never seem to get things right in life. But I want you to know that there is a way to be at peace with yourself and with your God and with your life. I don’t care how many mess-ups you have had or how many mistakes you have made or how much regret you have. You can still have a great life. It’s not how you start in a race it’s how you finish.

What happened way back just before the flood? Why did God have to destroy the inhabitants of the earth? What was so bad that God went to such extreme measures? Genesis 6:5-7 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

To quote Jerry Lee Lewis there is a whole lot of Shakin going on. Earthquakes are everywhere and occurring in record numbers every day. But people are being shaken by the lockdowns, the mask wearing the fear of death from Covid or the fear of life never going to be the same. People are down, depressed, discouraged and in despair. But listen we have Jesus we cannot be shaken.

We are at the end of 2020. What a year it has been. I believe 2020 was the preparation and 2021 will be the implementation of the devil’s agenda for His great reset. I’ll talk more about that in another message. But we are going to see signs increasing and fearful sites in the sky in these last days.

So many start out well in a race and faulter at the finish line. Runners have enemies. The other runners, their tired bodies, and the distance. All of us can go a short distance. We can all sprint. Some farther than others. But it’s the long distance race that most people avoid. Why? It’s hard, it’s painful, it’s boring, and it takes mental toughness. You have to stay on the course but focus on the finish. A farmer plowing the field keeps his eye on the course but focuses on the end of the row so he can plow straight. While we have a life path or journey or course that we have follow, but we focus on the finish for success. Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. The Galatian church had a focus problem that cause them to stumble and faulter on their journey.

Christian baptism is the means by which a person makes a public profession of faith and discipleship. In the waters of baptism, a person is saying, “I confess faith in Christ; Jesus has cleansed my soul from sin, and I now have a new life of sanctification.” Very simply, baptism is an outward testimony of the inward change in a believer’s life. This is not a sermon JUST about Baptism but also about Jesus showing up at the appointed time in history.

The demonic world is real. Evil Spirits Exist. What are they?

We have been given so much by the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation of course. But when we think about it what do we really have in Christ? What depths has He gone for us? What is the greatest thing anyone has ever done for you? Well, your mother gave birth to you. Your spouse married you. Guys, your wife gave you children. Maybe someone saved your life, a doctor or a friend. The greatest two things that ever happened to you are these. You were born and you were born again! You were born of a woman and you were born by the Spirit of God. You had the physical birth and now you have the new birth. How great is our salvation? Three things, amazing things that God has done for us through Jesus Christ!

This Thanksgiving will be a time of lockdown and family gatherings being discouraged by the government and by people who live in fear. When people don’t know what is going on then there is confusion and fear. We have heard so many different opinions on CCP Virus, but one thing is sure it is a shame that we cannot be with the ones we love during this time in our lives. A time of uncertainty and confusion and chaos that we have never seen in our life times. But we have a hope to be thankful for. We have someone who breaks through all the confusion, all the chaos, all the fear and says “I am.”

Warning signs are everywhere and on everything. We pay attention to them usually. Some like speed limits we don’t take very seriously. But when God warns us about something we should absolutely pay attention to it. We are pretty stupid if we don’t. God has warned us about the penalty for sin. He has warned us about false teaching. He has given us the Bible to keep us in the truth. We go off the rails when we start giving more attention to non-Biblical ideas than to God’s truth. God warns us in the Titus chapter three about three things

We are in the last of the last days. It happened when Israel returned to their land and became a nation again May 14th 1948. Matthew 24:32-34 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; (Israel) When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, (mentioned in previous verses the tribulation etc.) know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation (the people that see these events) shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. The last days or the last time is the days after Pentecost. The Old testament prophets called the last of the last days terms such as last days, In that day, at that time, time of the end, and the day of the Lord. But no doubt we are in the last of the last days. Jesus described all the signs in Matthew 24, Luke 21 and Mark 13. Also, Daniel chapters 7-12 and Zechariah, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel also described this day is passages. I don’t have time to go into th
