From the inception of the fall of man, physical pain, sickness, and suffering have been unavoidable. Does Jesus really care?

What is your background? What has your life looked like? Do you think that you are not good enough for Jesus and His mission? Do you think that others are better suited because their lives look less messy than yours? Do you feel undeserving? Think again!

Oh, the wondrous joy it is to reflect on the saving grace of Jesus in our lives. There is no greater witness to others than our individual stories of how Jesus rescued us, delivering us from sin and death.

It is God’s sovereign purpose to unite all things to Himself in Christ Jesus, and it is His will to accomplish this through His children in the power of the Holy Spirit. It always has been and it always will be.

“May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!” - Peter (Acts 8:20)

A recent study indicates that Tampa ranks as one of the top 5 saddest cities in America. Only the presence of the gospel (awakening people’s lives) has the power to bring about joy in our city. Jesus is the only hope for Tampa.

What would the mission look like if we truly began to forgive each other?

Often overlooked within the gospel of grace is how God has used history to serve as a story of redemption.

Jesus was “raised for our justification” (Rom 4:25b). Meaning, He was raised to give us life; a better life at that.

It doesn’t take much in an individual’s life to make an impact in one’s community. Really, it just takes God’s grace.

The mission of Jesus is an unstoppable force! Why? Because it is steeped in power and authority, the likes of which have never been seen before from anything or anyone else.

Every single one of us is looking for security. The problem is that we tend to seek it out in the wrong places. The truth is that only God can provide true security. It may not be comfortable, but it’s where grace and life abound.

The effectiveness of our mission is tied directly to how generous our hearts are.

The mission has been awesome so far- but now things begin to get serious (opposition, persecution, jail threats, etc). But Jesus does not promise us a joy ride- he promises, if we follow Him, we will be treated like they treated Him (2 Tim. 3:12). When the difficulty comes, we can learn a lot from the disciples response to hardship & opposition

When it comes to accomplishing the mission of Jesus, nothing brings about more influence in regards to our witness than how we are living and subsequently leading in repentance.

The mission of Jesus cannot be accomplished without a spiritual awakening taking place in the lives of every individual impacted by it.

How can wonder and awe come into the midst of our little biblical community and our city? You’d be surprised by the answer.

"How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news." This statement is essential when it comes to the mission of Jesus and our understanding of it.

One of the greatest misunderstandings we have when it comes to our relationship with God is how we view prayer. If we really were to believe that prayer can be the key to unlocking God’s sovereignty in our lives and mission, we would view it differently.
