Take Five

We're always on the hunt for extra terrestrial life, but we're not paying much attention to the weird stuff we already have, are we? If you take a good long look at a starfish, for example, you start to realise that perhaps whatever we're looking for when it comes to aliens can be found right here in our own oceans. Because let's face it - Starfish are pretty weird. And awesome. Which is why it's a good thing that "Starfish" is the topic of this week's episode of Take Five! Get your weird on and listen now.

We all need things delivered to us, right? You order a door mat on Amazon, you get it delivered to you. Well, how do you think they delivered things before the postal service existed? That's right - Canals. Which is why we're discussing them on this week's episode of Take Five. I mean, that's not actually the reason. We pick these topics at random. But canals are very important which is why we know so much about them. OK, I'm going to be straight with you (Like a canal!) - I don't know anything about canals. Just... just listen to the episode.

Lots of great things hang from the roof. Lights, for example. Icicles are pretty cool, as well. Spider-man, if he's busy kissing someone. Also stalactites! Which is probably the most boring of all of the things I just mentioned that hang from roofs, but somehow Jack and Anthony manage to make it interesting in this week's episode of Take Five!

Weather affects all of us, but it affects some of us more than others. Jack and Anthony live in England, where weather affects them more than most, so who better to discuss the topic for five minutes?! I mean, a meteorologist would probably be better to discuss it with, but they wouldn't give you that down-to-Earth, "I definitely know more about this topic than these idiots" feeling that you get from Take Five.

This episode is about dinner! Though it's a bit of a double edged sword, isn't it, making an episode about dinner? Everyone who has access to podcasts probably also eats a meal in the evening, which means the potential audience for this episode is absolutely massive. I'm a little bit worried about the website breaking down when a few billion people come to hear Jack and Anthony talk about dinner. Still, the show must go on! ... for five minutes.

It's always fun to discuss a topic for an amount of time, record the discussion, and put it on the internet for the world to listen to, only to look up that topic later and realise that you know nothing and shouldn't be allowed to own a microphone. If you agree, perhaps you'll enjoy the latest episode of Take Five, wherein Jack and Anthony discuss the word "Republicanism". It might not make any sense, but at least it doesn't last very long.

I think it's safe to say that everyone likes cheese. Except for vegans. I mean, maybe even they like cheese, they just don't want to eat it because it's forced out of a cow. I feel like we went over this sort of thing in the description for the milk episode, actually. Either way, join Jack and Anthony this week as they discuss cheese! The word of the week is "Superheroes"! If Jack and Anthony were superheroes, their power would be to talk about a topic for 5 minutes without doing any research beforehand. Which when you think about it, is pretty impressive. Wow! Episode 3 already? Really creeps up on you, doesn't it? It feels like only three weeks ago that we started this podcast.
