Episode 39 brings Blue, Justin, and Willy together to discuss the lore surrounding the raid from the Dark Below expansion of Destiny, Crota's End. Episode 38 brings Blue, Justin, Willy, and guest co-hosts Demigod and Unisys together to discuss this previous week's chat discussion over the lore surrounding Guardian weapons within Destiny - something that is a difficult task to do (the chat generally focused more on the nuanced differences between the weapon foundries and some particular weapons - so we followed their discussion as best as possible within the time allowed). With something so central to the game world, there is surprisingly little information on the nature of death and the subsequent resurrection of Guardians (and some other creatures). Episode 36 brings Blue, Justin, and Willy together once again to discuss what information we have at our fingertips concerning the rise of the characters that we know as Guardians within the world of Destiny - those paracausal powerhouses who defend the Last City against the encroaching Darkness. Picking up the tale from the ashes of the Collapse, with the birth of Ghosts and their mission to find new weapons for the Traveler's Light to find a home within, the team discusses the nature of the Light within the Guardians we experience today and compare that refined manipulation to the brutally primal forces of nature that were the Risen. The first few groups of Guardians are examined, as well as a lengthy discussion on the psychological tendencies which set the Guardians apart from the Risen follows, making for an interesting delve into the history of a topic that we can all agree that we want to know more about. Episode 35 brings Blue, Justin, Willy, and the Sultry Tiger himself, My Name is Byf, together to chat about the lore about the enemy 'race' known as the Taken. Diving into the basic differences of the various forms of the creatures that we, as Guardians within Destiny experience, the group quickly jump from a mere physical description of the enemy (like why do the Taken always 'shiver') into the deeper aspects of the psyche of the overall experience of what it means to be a member of the Taken. The group discusses a range of topics, from what they think the response of Guardians would be if a Fallen Walker actually walked (pro tip included from reddit on how to take those down a bit faster and easier as well) to the nature of the overarching sense of desperation that the City faced in the resulting disaster against Crota and the loss of the first Crota fireteam. Episode 28 brings Blue, Justin, and Willy together again to do battle against Skype and the siren song of much needed slumber to discuss the information that is available on arguably two of the more controversial subjects within Destiny - the Speaker and the Traveler. The conversation ranges from a brief dive into the Dreams of Alpha Lupi grimoire cards to a conversation discussing what exactly is the importance behind the repeated appearance of the number three within Destiny. From a summary of the individual Mentor's past lives, to a rather heated argument regarding the previous Mentors who held the positions prior to the current generation of Mentors - the group walks through the information covered in the chat room and from the Grimoire. Episode 25 brings Blue, Justin, and Willy together to discuss the Black Garden, a central piece of the vanilla Destiny experience - and something which still, to this day, remains a mystery. What is the Garden? What does the Black Heart intend to use the Sol Progeny for? How does Paean fit into this week's episode? We know the really important questions you want us to answer. Primarily focusing on the basic makeup of the game world, a very, very, very basic overview of the timeline and a decent conversation about the summary of the five main title games, the group actually manages to get through it.
