Franklin Basketball - Podcast

Sorry it has taken a while to get this one out! Last year we had the pleasure of working with Chris Oliver, host of Basketball Immersion Podcast and https://basketballimmersion.com/ .  Chris worked with our players and coaches. It was an awesome experience.  Chris  has 23 years of university coaching experience. For the last 14 years  he has been head coach at the University of Windsor where he has won  over 300 games, and compiled a .750 winning percentage. Oliver has also  coached a Canadian team of professional players to the prestigious Jones  Cup international basketball tournament championship, winning gold in  2018. In addition, he has consulted for NBA, NCAA, high school and club  basketball organizations around the world. Chris toured New Zealand to work with coaches and players including National and NBL coaches.

Hall of Fame Coach, Jim Foster spent a few days with us at Franklin Basketball teaching our players and giving our coaches new ideas on how to develop them. Jim has coached basketball for 40 years in the NCAA at division 1 colleges and is also a gold medal winning coach with the USA Women's team. It was an absolute privilege to have Jim and his wife Donna in Franklin. Big thanks to Basketball Pacific for bringing Jim to New Zealand.

Our coaches had the chance to have a meal with Coach Tim and Zico from the Hoop Clinic to talk about getting the most out of our players and applying the Growth Mindset to our basketball teams.
