Sir Walter Besant (14 August 1836 – 9 June 1901), was a novelist and historian. William Henry Besant was his brother, and another brother, Frank, was the husband of Annie Besant.A book full of intrigue and a lot of mystery. The work is enjoyable, fluent and the reader's interest focuses on the psychology of the characters but, just as he thinks he has understood the whole story, Besant amazes by inserting new elements that upset the theses already built. An exciting work.
