I don't know about you- but when I became a parent I was SURE I was going to be easy-going, relaxed, and fun!   What actually happened was I tried to control all sorts of things! Food, screens, taking a walk. Not very much fun for my daughter.   As I turned inward I met a rigidity and fear which led to my controlling behavior.
