We do not talk enough about the place Music has in our lives as a best friend in getting us through the most difficult times or simply a lonely existence. It is the reason most people in world listen to music, dance to music and play music. This subject is considered to render someone as an idiot in the world of the cultural press. This is bothered me since I began writing about music at my university newspaper. I am going to, to the best my ability, talk about how music has gotten me through things. In fact, it has been the engine of my optimism machine. I have never found any hardship to be particularly challenging because I have always been able to find song which speaks to the experience. Without fail, I find that same song speaking to a multitude of people. I am not a cynic and I believe this power of peopl coming together around an artist or a song is really where change begins. We live in a very negative time. We need inspirational songs more than ever. These casts our song I love which keep me optimis
