Living With Power

One of the greatest battles we encounter as followers of Christ is the struggle against unbelief. When our prayers go seemingly answered, when we don’t see the results we hoped for, when life hurls one curveball after another, we’re tempted to succumb to fear, disappointment, and to forget who is on our side. In Hebrews chapter 3, the author is making a point that one of the most effective ways to fight unbelief is to consider Jesus, to think carefully about Him (Hebrews 3:1). By considering Him we will come to the realization that He is faithful, and that is all the confidence we need in the face of anything that comes our way.
