    Probiotics are marketed for a lot more than they can actually accomplish for you. There is a definite neat for a healthier bacterial flora in the body but it's not just the gut - it's the skin, hair, mouth, vagina, etc.  Prebiotics or a diet which fuels the right bacteria and suppresses the growth of the undesired bacteria is far more important than probiotics.
