Pastor Ken continues sharing from Matthew 5:17-48 where Jesus confronts our internal passion, cultural practices, and social principles. 

Pastor Ken began teaching through a two-part message from Matthew 5:17-48. In this message we learn to how and why Jesus confronts our internal passions, cultural practices, and our social preferences.

We continued our study through the Sermon on the Mount by looking at Matthew 5:13-16. As Jesus continues to instruct His followers, we learn more about the role and responsibilities for those in God's Kingdom. Ultmaitley, Jesus points us to embrace what God created us to be and engage where God calls us to be. 

Pastor Ken began a new sermon series exploring the Sermon on Mount in Matthew's Gospel. As we looked into Matthew 5:1-12, we saw that when God's rule breaks into our realm, what we see as successful, believe to be satisfying, and trust in for security will be transformed.

Israel concludes a 40-year wilderness wandering only to face challenges and odd circumstances to enter the Promised Land. On Sunday, Pastor Luke answered the delicate question, "Can I leave the Church?" He pointed us to examples in God's Word along with practical ones as well to show us the good, the bad, and the ugly of leaving a local church. You can find this message by visiting baycitiesoldsmar.com/sermons.

In this message, Pastor Ken overviews what Biblical, Church Membership looks like. He explores three Biblical metaphors to see how we can belong to the Church and then concludes by pointing our three practical benefits we enjoy form belonging to a local church. 

When took our third Sunday to answer the question, "what does the Church do?" Pastor Ken explained how the must gather, grow, and finally, go. We "go" because it's who we are, wherever we are, and involves everything we do. 

Pastor Ken looks at the second part of your question revolving around the activity of the church. From Ephesians 4:11-16, we see the means, the marks, and the motives for the Church's growth. Overall, the Church grows by God, over time, and in love. 

Pastor Luke shares the priority for the Church to gather together. All throughout Scripture, God's people take gathering together seriously. Whether it is for worship, fellowship, or both, the Church must gather for the glory of God.  

Our third message in this series  addresses authority and leadership in the church. Pastor Ken shares how God extends His authority as a means of starting, serving, and safeguarding the Church. 

This past Sunday, we looked at the first of five, key questions in the "Church in the Wild" series. Pastor Ken spent time answering the question, "What is the Church?" We looked at how the Church is a diverse people who exist-locally, globally, and eternally-by the plan of the Father, the work of the Son, and the presence of the Spirit. 

Pastor Ken walked through 1 Corinthians 11:2-16 in the second installment of our Wonder in Worship series. As we looked into this text, we saw Paul's concerns for the way we worship. Specifically, Paul instructs the Corinthian church and us today to worship in a God-Honoring way. 

Pastor Brent kicked off our news series on worship by showing us gathered worship must reflect the character of God. When God's people gather together, everyone uses their gifts to deepen each other's desire for God. 

In the final message of our series on spiritual gifts, Pastor Ken pointed out two imperatives from 1 Corinthians 14 that informs what should we chase after. Let's be a church that chases after the good of others and the glory of God. 

As we continued our series looking at spiritual gifts in the church, Pasor Ken outlined what the Church really needs from 1 Corinthians 12:27-13:13. The Church ought to embrace her identity as many members of one body and to exercise her responsibility, love. 

Pastor Ken began a week series addressing spiritual gifts in the church from 1 Corinthians 12-14. In this first message, we saw how God's people through God's gifting accomplish God's purposes. This begins in our lives through a Spirit-led confession and continues through Spirit-produced actions. 

Pastor Ken closes our First Things series by looking at 2 Corinthians 3:4-18. This text demonstrates how the  gospel gives us a purpose from God and offers us access to God as well.

In the first installment of our First Things series, Pastor Ken shared Paul's opening introduction to the Corinthian church. The apostle Paul focuses on the glorious nature of the gospel. Specifically, we see that the gospel is glorious because earthly citizens receive a heavenly status and experience a heavenly blessing.
