There has been a lot of rhetoric  around turning the United States into a more socialist state.  But is this really the option.  I was born in Ukraine which was under the USSR at the time. So it's hard to argue with me about it based on my first hand experiences.  I wanted to go into some of the differences as well and explain communism, socialism, and capitalism.   Communism and socialism are economic and political structures that promote equality and seek to eliminate social classes. The two are interchangeable in some ways, but different in others.In a communist society, the working class owns everything, and everyone works toward the same communal goal.
