We are in Chapter 3 of Philippians today with an actual walkthrough of Paul exercising his sole dependence on Jesus alone. Being a well known Pharisee and persecuter of the church, Paul now shedding everything he knew for the sake of Jesus gives us hope. Hope that we too can do as we are expected. To live by faith just like Abraham. It is a long episode with some meaty truths where we can see Paul act on his faith in the face of insurmountable adversity.
