Overview- Jesus Proclaims Himself Messiah. Matthew 21:12-17. In our sermon today we read about how Jesus goes into the Temple of God, after His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and turns over the tables of the money changers and those who bought and sold there. Jesus had just powerfully proclaimed Himself Messiah/ God in the flesh by riding into Jerusalem on the back of a colt, the foal of a donkey fulfilling the Zachariah 9:9 prophesy, and now He walks into God’s temple and boldly proclaims Himself Messiah again. How did He proclaim Himself Messiah/ God in the flesh, in the temple of God? Did Jesus Christ ever proclaim Himself Messiah/ God in the flesh anywhere else in scripture?
