John 1:35-51 We Have Found the Messiah! In our text this week, the Apostle John describes how Jesus met some of his disciples. It’s a beautiful passage, as we read how Jesus saw and noticed each one when they turned towards him. Jesus first words in John’s gospel are: “What are you looking for?” And then “Come and see.” We also make an attempt at examining the layers of meaning and symbolism that the Apostle John may be alluding to through his description.
