He has played for teams such as the Detroit Red Wings, the Boston Bruins and the Calgary Flames. Kennedy has become an advocate and inspiration for survivors of abuse after courageously coming forward to shine light on the abuse he faced as a teenager at the hands of his coach. The former NHL star has kept quite busy. He has received numerous awards including being named a Member of the Order of Canada in 2015, the David Foster Humanitarian Award in 2014 and many other honours.
