On the third Sunday of Lent, Trinity continues its journey of hearing the Word and responding, hearing texts from Exodus 20:1-17 and John 2:13-22. In the 10 Commandments and in Jesus' clearing of the temple, we realize that a life with God brings us into the complicated reality of our daily lives with a calling to follow Christ in the midst of this mess. Though we will fail in such a calling, we are always held in the grace and mercy of God's loving adoption-covenant with us.
