Dr. Nicholas Nicholas author of "Pericles and Me" tells us about his book and the adventures that inspired it. Dr. Nicholas C. Nicholas was  born in the United States, in Pittsburgh, PA), but his parents were not  yet American citizens at the time of his birth. Although the Nicholas family included no college graduates at the time of Dr. Nicholas's birth, it was understood that the Nicholas family valued education (a common attitude of Greek-Americans).
