In today’s globalized world little now stays local- from tourists to terrorists – can reach almost anywhere. From headlines of S. Africa ruling for rhino horn trade, to recent reports of thieves breaking into a French zoo and into a South African rhino orphanage to kill captive rhinos for their horns. may suggest a renewed surge in demand for rhino horn and similarly, the killing of a famous bull elephant in Kenya has depressed wildlife advocates. Although appalling incidents, there are many positive signs in the fight against poaching, trafficking and consumption of wildlife products, a massive shift in attitudes among governments, transnational law enforcement, and people, in favor of reducing the demand and closing the illegal wildlife trade markets..
