A Canterbury academic is concerned a submission by the Human Rights Commission to the United Nations is anti-Maori.In a submission last year the Commission recommended that the Human Rights Act needs to be amended because it is unable to be utilised in respect of religious hate speech directed a Muslim New Zealanders.But University of Canterbury Maori Academic Melissa Derby says it's protecting immigrant groups and discriminating against Maori.Melissa Derby says its crazy legislation which she hopes wont go through.
