Each year 231 Cantabrians are diagnosed with lung cancer, it's the most deadly form of cancer in New Zealand. But there is hope on the horizon for some lung cancer sufferers.Cantabrians living with a rare form of cancer, where a chromosomal rearrangement causes the disease to mutate and spread throughout the body, are set to benefit from the Medsafe registration of a new medicine. Chris Lynch spoke to Lung Foundation New Zealand chief executive Phillip Hope about the treatment.
