Family owned company Nelson Petroleum Distributors (NPD) are taking on the large petrol companies by offering discounted rates at the pump. CEO Barry Sheridan told Chris Lynch they have a very flat management structure and offer unmanned self serve sites so their operating overheads are lower allowing them to offer a cheaper product to the market.There are currently four NPD stations in Christchurch, with four more under construction and two to be started in early 2019.
