I will be the first to admit that people, myself included, take food too seriously sometimes. While food is a powerful tool that should be understood and appreciated, putting food on too grand a pedestal can lead a certain type of person down an unhealthy and dangerous path. Erik Lamkin is an individual that used food to take control over his body image issues. Growing up overweight and uncomfortable motivated him to learn about weight loss nutrition and change the state of his body. On the journey towards finding a health weight, Erik went too far developing a disorder that pushed him to get skinnier and skinnier, eventually landing Erik in a 60 day rehabilitation center during his college years where he worked in a community with professionals to develop a healthier relationship with food. Since overcoming the brunt of his condition, Erik has been able to blossom into an elite cyclist, positive motivator for young adults dealing with anorexia, and has also blown the minds of hundreds of thousands of peopl
