Though the outward man be but flesh and blood God's presence in His work is something that the church must emphasize and God's people stand to say amen. We have lost the symbolism for the title of Covenant head. In our society today fatherhood, headship and manhood are most under attack. Manhood and headship take a beating even in the churches. Today if a woman stands up to defend the concept of headship they become vilified as if they committed some act of treason. Headship pictured in us is not for us to polish our own shiny badge. Headship, pictured in us, represents God himself and therefore it is attacked. The Lord's Day is a day set apart from all the rest of the days it is a day to sanctify your family in worship before God. It is a sanctification issue (Leviticus 19). Fathers and mothers are to sanctify their children, set them before the Lord.
