King Tutmose III (Shishak of the bible) upon conquering the Israelites, raided and plundered the temple including the altar and anything made of gold, "2Ch 12:9 So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house; he took all: he carried away also the shields of gold which Solomon had made." He did this as instructed by demonia. Why did God allowed Shishak to take Jerusalem and plunder the temple? Why were the blessings of God withdrawn? Where was the angelic host that usually surrounded and protected the people of God?
