Understanding Christianity

We will explore all the ways we can steal--not only from others but from God Himself. We will examine four Biblical accounts of stealing--Jacob in Genesis 27, Achan in Joshua 7, David in 2 Samuel 12, and Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5. Ultimately we steal because we are insecure, discontent, selfish, and not trusting in God’s gracious provision. Breaking the 8th Commandment is fundamentally breaking the 1st Commandment. We are not worshipping or resting in Christ alone as our satisfaction.
