Isaiah 55:8–9 says: “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts. Have you ever had situations in your life that made these verses explicitly clear to you? It could be a diagnosis that seems catastrophic only to see years later how God used it for good. It could have been an expected layoff that you thought was the end of the world only to see God launch you into a new career that would have never happened otherwise. Each of us could tell our stories of how God took what we thought was an impossible situation and brought good from it. God’s ways are higher than our ways.
