When students enroll to your course, they come from different backgrounds, different levels of skills and beliefs about the topic.  It's safe to say that they might find certain units boring or overwhelming, depending on their history with the topic you teach.  It only makes sense to have a look at your course, the units, and restructure them, so that each student can find their own way around the course.
