Luke 23:32-43. Dan Kroon. What is Jesus doing while he hangs on the cross? What is he doing while he suffers that cruel torture? What is he doing in his state of forsakenness and utter abandonment? He is offering salvation; forgiveness of sins; eternal life in his presence. Not just by what he says, but by the very fact that he is there. And as he speaks some of his last words to the repentant criminal hanging beside him, we’re reminded of Jesus’ offer and challenged to accept it.
