We are slaves to sin and in bondage to Satan by nature. The judgement of God on our sin is certain so we too need a substitute. That's why God sent Jesus to be "the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” Jesus has died instead of us. “The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” when we believe in Jesus. We are safe from judgement when we turn from sin and accept Jesus as our Saviour and Lord.
