Pulp Crazy

In this weeks episode, in honor of Robert E. Howard's 108th Birthday, I will be discussing Spear and Fang. This was Howard's first professional pulp sale, he sold it in 1924 for $16.00. Spear and Fang first appeared in the July 1925 issue of Weird Tales. Spear and Fang is a fast paced piece of historical fiction focusing on Ga-nor and A-aea, two Cro Magnon people living in prehistoric times. A-aea, is abducted by a Neanderthal man one night after spying on Ga-nor whom she is romantically interested in. Ga-nor discovers the abduction and gives chase into the jungle.
