Sinopsis
This week, we had special guest, Joe Daltorio with us. Sunday's message centered on the contrast between the “spirit of adoption” and the “spirit of the orphan.” Joe emphasized that God’s desire is to bring people into family, not into performance. The world often feels like an orphanage where shame, fear, entitlement, and comparison distort our identity, but the Father’s heart is to restore sons and daughters. Through the Spirit of adoption, believers are given a secure identity that cannot be earned or lost. The prodigal son illustrates both rebellion and religious striving as forms of orphan thinking, while the Father’s response reveals a love that restores position, intimacy, and belonging. Joe challenged us to reject orphan mentalities like fear, offense, entitlement, working for love and to live instead from the secure identity of adopted sons and daughters.
