Sinopsis
Herbicide resistance, it's a tricky beast! Simulation modelling is looking to help us understand it better and in shorter time frames though (phew). AHRI PhD Candidate Gayle Somerville explains the findings in her paper "Why was resistance to shorter-acting pre-emergence herbicides slower to evolve?". AHRI Director Steve Powles also gives us some context to how this research can be applied in the field. If you'd like to find out more about Gayles paper, you can read it here: http://ahri.uwa.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Why-was-resistance-to-shorter-acting-pre-emergence-herbicides-slower-to-evolve.pdfMusic: bensound.comYou can follow AHRI on Twitter here.
