Fifteen years ago, I moved to Cebu alone to try working in a call center. I had a relocation compensation package with a 5-month bond. Meaning, I couldn’t leave the company for 5 months or else I’d have to pay the company back. What I thought was going to be a 5-month trial of my work life turned into 5 years and many more. Indeed, time flies when you’re having fun (and sleeping the days away, haha). I loved my account and the people I worked with. I left the company in 2016 to try working remotely and stop crying over how terrible commuting in Cebu is ✌️
