Sinopsis
The Strength of the Strong is a short story allegory meant to complement London's upcoming 1912 book "The Scarlet Plague", in which a plague in 2012 depopulates the planet and a survivor of that plague tries to impart wisdom to his grandsons in order that they can survive in the years following the plague. We are considering this now for 1001 Stories for the Road. Its a fascinating tale and one which draws many similarities to our current NIH-Wuhan plague. Todays short story "The Strength of the Strong" uses a grandfather in a primitive tribe trying to describe to his grandsons how the only way they can survive in the future is to band together and not have an 'every man for himself' attitude.
