Super Bowl champion and NFL analyst Mark Schlereth joined the show. Mark thinks the numbers on Russell Wilson lie to you and he wasn’t nearly as good as his 26/8 TD/INT ratio showed last season. Mark said Wilson’s style of play is hard to watch and he was not good last season. Mark thinks there are key negatives to his game that he has not been good at his entire career. Mark expects Wilson to take 3-4 sacks a game that can be detrimental to an offense. The guys asked Mark how Wilson can fit into the Arthur Smith offense. Mark credited the work ethic of Wilson, but said he does some very cringey things. He painted a picture of why things didn’t work out late in Seattle or in Denver. What are the options for the Steelers if they don’t sign Wilson? The guys wanted to compare the options on the table to Justin Fields and if that is feasible on the Steelers’ end. Mark really questioned if Kenny Pickett is the answer long-term.
