Let's introspect: have you ever doubted if God will answer your prayers as you pray? After prayers, do we anticipate God's response to our prayers? The state of our hearts in and after prayers tells us if we have an assured heart of being forgiven by God. We often sin against God, and as a result, we suffer the consequences of sin - fear, guilt, accusations. However, the God we follow is an incredibly forgiving God. There is no sin too sinful that forgiveness is impossible, but a heart that persistently rejects God despite having witnessed God's works is unforgivable. And from the heart comes the expression of our hearts, ie our speeches. Therefore, it is important to discern the state of our hearts and let the truth shape us so that we bring out gracious speeches that edify ourselves and people.
