"Jaya Sitaram" essentially invokes Rama, Ram, who brings joy, who is pleasant, who is beautiful. Rama may be Jaya, Jaya means "victory," it means "live" or even "may triumph." Jaya is such an advance, is such a joy, also an enthusiasm. Sita, after all, represents the earth goddess, and Rama represents the sun dynasty.
