"This week in history, Jimi Hendrix played a concert and RF traffic came through his amplifier. It was his single coil pickups and being too close to a radio source. It became the inspiration for the Air Force base scene in Spinal Tap. We have collected a good number of other inspirations and where the idea for the movie came from."
