Bonnie Bernstein talks with Preslie Anderson, civil rights activist and volleyball/legal studies graduate from Cal (’20). Anderson was an All-Conference volleyball player for the Cal Golden Bears, graduating in 3.5 years. She spent two years as a graduate transfer at Baylor, earning Big 12 All-Academic First Team honors in 2022. During her time as a student, Anderson participated in peaceful protests and used her social platforms, along with her spoken word talent, to stand up against systemic racism. The NCAA continues the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Title IX with a new nine-part College Sports Conversations series hosted by Bonnie Bernstein, one of the most accomplished female sports journalists in history.
