Raul Reis is the Dean of the School of Communication at Emerson College, and a tenured professor in the Department of Communication Studies. Prior to Emerson, he served as Dean of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Florida, from 2011 to 2016. Reis has published extensively in academic journals and books on topics such as the impact of mass media on traditional communities; Latin American and Brazilian media; higher education; and science, health and environmental communication.
