  • Ep: 182 - Emma's housing dreams

    23/08/2017 Duración: 01h05min

Nice to hear them, for us to hear them nice. We start with meetings. The happy Angela (no middle initial) Barnes, still in Edinburgh, has met Glyn Fullelove’s daughter who is looking after her very well. I have to say that last week’s monologue was better than this week’s. Roifield then asked for guidance on the Carter children when growing up – but I do not recall much antagonism between them although Chris’s cleft palate meant Emma felt she was being overlooked. More seriously they have forgotten that Emma is an internet whizz – she would be pinterest and not a little book. She has setup websites and all sorts in the past. Very poor continuity, but you cannot tear up a laptop! BTW my theory is that Chris is back in time to be cuckolded by Alice – a story line which was foreshadowed some time ago and which I reckon may be about to materialise. Angela thinks that the countryside is just like towns for social problems – but it is all much greener! And Lucy does not allow Roifield to do “Map Corner” if

  • DTD: 179 - Jill Archer arrested in flapjack assault

    02/08/2017 Duración: 01h19min

This week’s Dumteedum is from the Hay Biles! • DTD: 177 - Caroline remembered

    19/07/2017 Duración: 01h14min

Robert Wilson leads off this week by bursting two tyres in Wales – and he thanks the helpful residents of Nantmor. Derek has been investigating fermented foods from his compost heap. Just in case you think that The Archers is all made up the musical “Hair” is being revived this year with a new immersive production. I assume immersive means the audience are underwater – see this: https://www.londontheatre.co.uk/theatre-news/news/new-immersive-production-of-hair-to-run-at-the-vaults-in-london Will Lucy be going? Discussion of Caroline’s death dominates this week’s podcast for obvious reasons. I would like my say. Throughout her village existence Caroline followed her heart; she might not be religious, but could love the vicar; most eligible (and at least one ineligible male in Brian) fell for her charms and she fell for theirs. Her character was never distorted or altered and she provided a person slightly at a distance from main village activities. Wonderfully created and much under used in recent yea

  • DTD: 176 - The over privileged Phoebe and the hatefully sexist Will Grundy

    11/07/2017 Duración: 01h26min

This week's show is brought to by ADT! This week’s Dumteedum is from the mini Toronto meetup. Lucy, if someone wants to send us a Dumteedum how can they do that? If you’d like to sing us a Dumteedum, leave us a plot prediction or think that one six year old ISA and nine grand is going to be enough for a deposit on a picturesque country cottage in a sought after rural area then call us on 0203 031 3105 or leave us a message on Speakpipe. Thanks to Kosmo for his podcast round-ups and doing the dumteedogs and to Derek for the loan of the back bedroom. Derek went to Pride by mistake as he thought it was a march against haemophilia. Anyway he had a lovely time, has a new friend called Terry and asks if anyone knows if rainbow glitter reacts with Anusol. If anyone has any advice, please let us know and we’ll pass it on. On this week’s episo

  • DTD: 175 - Justin's land deal gets the once over

    04/07/2017 Duración: 01h08min

This week’s Dumteedum is from the Bath meet up this weekend, featuring Aunty jean, Titian73, Luke and Louise Lombard. Goddess Deeva was too poorly, so get well soon and Yokelbear had a nightmare with GWR trains and couldn't get out of Yokelshire! On this week’s episode we have calls from Claire from Clapham who thinks Lilian should go to the Bull Witherspoon who thinks Lilian needs to smash the shepherdess Lord Louise who thinks everyone panders to Brian New York Nigel who has tips on his own land grab Cosmo who says there’s big news coming and Christian who is not George W Bush.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
