In this episode I am joined by... no one! Well, I was joined by someone inside the venue, but not during the taping of this episode. This episode might end up being my most personal episode. I dive right into the world of anxiety, depression, and potentially OCD (emphasis on the "O") that I've become friends with over the last 32 years on Earth. My goal in sharing this story is two-fold. First, the selfish reason: to have an oral record capturing my struggles, before I forget details (I may have already forgotten a few). Secondly, the more important/wider reason: to show that it is nothing to be ashamed about. Mental health is just as legit as physical health - in fact, they can often be tied together - and I want more people to feel like they can talk about their past and what they are currently fighting, and eventually where they see this road taking them. MATEO!  Mateo Fischer is a University of Minnesota graduate and fellow meat non-eater.  We didn't run into each other much at baseball games this year, but it's always a pleasure talking to him. Mateo being vegetarian and me being vegan, the tradition of us going to TC VegFest is now kind of a thing.  Held at the University of Minnesota campus, Twin Cities VegFest has many food vendors (with free samples), vegan lifestyle vendors (clothing, etc.), farm sanctuary information, and even cooking demos and speakers. In this episode I am joined by... myself!  Jared (that guy from the Atlanta trip and numerous other Target Field adventures) was my cameraman and probably not caught in any audio form on this podcast.  But he was there, I promise. I took on the #OneChipChallenge.  This particular chip is supposed to be the spiciest in the world; it contains Carolina Reaper Chili powder, which can clock in with 2.2 MILLION Scoville units.  It retails for $5, but sold out immediately... so I had to pay $20.  I discuss some topics after eating the chip in order to test how aware I was, and how much the chip's spice got to me. Why is it "At the Gates of Hell"?  Because it was supposed to be spicy as hell and let's face it, the Twins made you feel like you were entering the gates of hell at Target Field in 2016.
